Rukmini Vasanth is an Indian actress, who has worked predominantly in the
Kannada movie industry . She received widespread critical acclaim for her portrayal of Priya in the 2023 Kannada film
Sapta Sagaradache Ello .

Life and career
Rukmini Vasanth was born to a Kannada-speaking family in
Bangalore , Karnataka. Her father, Colonel
Vasanth Venugopal ,
[2] is the first recipient from Karnataka of India's highest peacetime military decoration, the
Ashoka Chakra .
[3] Colonel Vasanth Venugopal was killed in action in 2007 while preventing heavily armed infiltrators from crossing the India-Pakistan border at
Uri, Jammu and Kashmir .
[4] Her mother, Subhashini Vasanth, is an accomplished Bharatanatyam dancer who has set up a foundation to support war widows in Karnataka.

Rukmini was educated at Army School, Air Force School and Centre for Learning. She obtained an acting degree from
Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in
Bloomsbury , London.
