Punkadelic is an funk band from Philadelphia, PA. [5] It was formed as a collaboration between Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member Michael Hampton, the guitarist from Parliament-Funkadelic, and Chuck Treece, known for playing in bands such as McRad and Bad Brains. Local guitar player Philip Smith rounded out the three-person lineup.

With Hampton on guitar and Treece on bass and drums, Punkadelic performed both original music and Funkadelic covers in Philadelphia, Mexico, and live on the radio at WOCM Ocean 98 in Ocean City, Maryland. In 2022, Punkadelic performed in Mount Holly, New Jersey for the local Jail House Rock music festival, joined on stage by members of the band shotty. Punkadelic released 2 singles and an original EP titled Collective Consciousness in 2023.
