It's Finally Here

Aloha to all. Well, it is finally here. Hawaiʻi Nei has it's own portal. Maikaʻi loa. I hope that I have done a good job of starting this portal. I wanted to start a portal for Hawaiʻi that would be beneficial to all, and show the best that we have to offer. I have removed the "under construction" banner but that does not mean that it is pau yet. Please, continue to contribute and make it a "great" portal. Update Suggestion

With the passing of Senator Daniel K. Inouye, I think the Main portal page should be updated to reflect such and his replacement added in. If you want to still use his bio on the portal page please at least update the information — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shieldwolf ( talkcontribs) 02:22, 27 January 2013 (UTC) reply

Notice from the Portals WikiProject

WikiProject Portals is back!

The project was rebooted and completely overhauled on April 17th, 2018. Its goals are to revitalize the entire portal system, make building and maintaining portals easier, support the ongoing improvement of portals and the editors dedicated to this, and design the portals of the future.

As of May 2nd, 2018, membership is at 60 editors, and growing. You are welcome to join us.

There are design initiatives for revitalizing the portals system as a whole, and for improving each component of portals. So far, 2 new dynamic components have been developed: Template:Transclude lead excerpt and Template:Transclude random excerpt.

Tools are provided for building and maintaining portals, including automated portals that update themselves in various ways.

And, if you are bored and would like something to occupy your mind, we have a wonderful task list.

From your friendly neighborhood Portals WikiProject. Hope to see you there. Sincerely,    — The Transhumanist   07:32, 2 May 2018 (UTC) reply

Articles

The following articles are presently being displayed in the portal using transclusion from articles. Consensus at VPP has approved using transclusion templates in portals, which provides users with up-to-date content that is verbatim to that in articles.
