• 1994 - Typhoon Teresa reaches peak intensity only as a Category 1 typhoon. Teresa killed a total of 14 and caused damages of $67.4 million.
• 2005 - Hurricane Wilma (pictured) became the most intense Atlantic hurricane on record with a central pressure of 882  hPa ( mbar) to the east of the Yucatán Peninsula. Damages from Wilma were recorded nearly at $30 billion.
