The Picture of the Week on Portal:Denmark is about showing a different picture related to Denmark every week. It really is as simple as that. Former selected pictures are viewable in the archive.
Critereas
There are only a very few critereas for the pictures selected:
- The picture must be on Commons
- The picture must show something/-one from Denmark or something related to Denmark
- The picture must be at least 250 px wide. But bigger is better
- If showing something static in Denmark it should either be geotagged or easy to locate by description.
How
This programme is somewhat anarchistic run. Everybody can add a photo for a week by going into the archive, edit an empty future slot and adding an image. The image should be added in the following style:
- [[Image:Mariagerfjord-alskirke.jpg|center|250px|The church of ''Als'']] <center>The church of Als in [[Mariagerfjord municipality]]. The church - dating [[11th century]] is build in the traditional classic stile, typical of danish churches of that time.</center>
First the image-name, then image properties (centered, 250px wide) and last alternative text. Following that, a short description - with as many links as possible).
The following template, must then be added to the picture's discussion page - on commons: {{ PoDaSP}}.
