obsolete family of
cryptomonads , which included genera
Monomastix ,
Pleuromastix , and
Xanthodiscus .
Today, Monomastix is regarded as a
green alga , and since 1987 Xanthodiscus is regarded as a synonym of
Prorocentrum .
