Steel City is an American semi-professional soccer club based out of Pittsburgh. The club has two teams, with the men's team playing in the National Premier Soccer League as a member of the Great Lakes Conference, and the women's team playing in the United Women's Soccer. [1]

Men's team history

Steel City was formed under the name Pittsburgh Hotspurs in 2019. [2] Following a collaboration in 2021 with Arsenal FC of Pittsburgh, the club rebranded in early 2023, renaming themselves Steel City FC. [3]

Women's team history

The club's women's team, active in the United Women's Soccer, was founded in 2014. [2] [4] Ahead of the 2020 season, Steel City FC (women) merged with the Pittsburgh Hotspurs, playing in the Women's Premier Soccer League. [5]
