Nick Ball (born 28 February 1997) is an English professional boxer. He has held the World Boxing Association (WBA) featherweight title since June 2024. He previously held the WBC Silver featherweight title from 2022–2023.
Ball turned professional in 2017 and compiled a 19–0 record before facing WBC featherweight champion Rey Vargas. [1] The fight ended as a controversial split draw with Vargas retaining his title, although many people believed Ball had done enough to win the fight. [2] [3]
Ball challenged Raymond Ford for the WBA featherweight title on June 1, 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. [4] Ball defeated Ford by split decision (113-115, 115-113, 115-113) and won the title. [5] [6]
