Family of gastropods
Neritopsidae is a
family of small
sea snails and
freshwater snails in the clade
Cycloneritimorpha (according to the
taxonomy of the Gastropoda by Bouchet & Rocroi, 2005 ).
The great majority of species within this family are only known as fossils. The few species which are extant are sometimes termed "
living fossils ".
