NOAA Flight 42 also known as NOAA-42 Hurricane Hugo Incident was an Aviation Incident That happened on Friday, September 15, 1989, When A Lockheed WP-3D Orion, call sign NOAA 42 reach into the center of the Hurricane Hugo causing an engine to catch fire and fail.
