The Municipality of Hodoš ( Slovene: Občina Hodoš [ˈóːptʃina ˈxóːdɔʃ]; Hungarian: Hodos község [ˈhodoʃ ˈkøʃʃeːɡ]) is a municipality in Slovenia. The seat of the municipality is the village of Hodoš ( Hungarian: Hodos). [2] It is part of the Prekmurje region. Both Slovene and Hungarian are official languages in the municipality. The municipality was established on 7 August 1998, when it was separated from the former Municipality of Hodoš–Šalovci. [3]
Hodoš is one of the two municipalities in Slovenia where ethnic Slovenes are a minority; the other is Dobrovnik ( Hungarian: Dobronak). The majority of the population is Lutheran.
In addition to the municipal seat of Hodoš, the municipality also includes the settlement of Krplivnik ( Hungarian: Kapornak).
