Michael Morris Jr. (born April 22, 2001) is an American football defensive end for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL). He was an All-American at the University of Michigan and was drafted by the Seahawks in the 2023 NFL draft

College career

Morris attended American Heritage School in Florida. He originally committed to Florida State University to play college football before switching to the University of Michigan. [1] [2]

Morris played in only one game his first two years at Michigan in 2019 and 2020. In 2021, he appeared in 14 games and made four starts, recording 16 tackles, 0.5 sacks and one interception. [3] [4] He became a full-time starter in 2022. [5] [6]

Morris was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the fifth round, 151st overall, in the 2023 NFL draft, with a selection previously acquired by trading Ahkello Witherspoon to the Pittsburgh Steelers. [9] He was placed on injured reserve on September 20, 2023 with a shoulder injury. [10]
