Megalo Eleftherochori ( Greek: Μεγάλο Ελευθεροχώρι, pronounced [meˈɣalo elefθeroˈxori]) is a village and a community of the Elassona municipality. [2] Before the 2011 local government reform it was a part of the municipality of Potamia, of which it was a municipal district. [2] The community of Megalo Eleftherochori covers an area of 40.779 km2. [3] Within the bounds of the community is the site of the ancient town of Ericinium. [4] [5]
