The ambassador of the United Kingdom to Egypt is the United Kingdom's foremost
diplomatic representative in
Egypt , and head of the UK's
diplomatic mission in Egypt. The official title is His Britannic Majesty's Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt .
Under
the British occupation of Egypt (1882–1956) , the British consul-general, high commissioner, or ambassador effectively ruled Egypt.
