LaunchCode, is a Non-profit organization headquartered in St. Louis Missouri that was founded in 2013. LaunchCode was founded by Jim McKelvey and aims to help people enter the technology field by providing free and accessible education, [1] training, and paid apprenticeship placements.

LaunchCode provides a variety of different courses to help with its goal stated above. These include: LC101,Women+,Immersive CodeCamp, Liftoff and Discovery.

Locations

LaunchCode has head quarter in St. Louis Missouri and several other locations [2] in the major cities of the USA ( Kansas City, Philadelphia and "LaunchCode Online").

In 2020, 60% of LaunchCode students identified as women or non-binary, [3] 49% identified as people of color, 19% identified as LGBTQIA+, and 46% did not have a 4-year degree.
