Karakoçan ( Ottoman Turkish: تپه Tepe, Kurdish: Dep, [2] Armenian: Oxi) is a town of Elazığ Province in the Eastern Anatolia region of Turkey. It is the seat of Karakoçan District. [3] It is populated by Kurds and had a population of 14,811 in 2022. [2] [1]
