Jules Rattankoemar Ajodhia (27 January 1945 – 29 March 2024) was a Surinamese politician. He was a member of the Progressive Reform Party. [1] From 1988 to 1990, he was Minister of Justice and Police. He was also twice vice president of Suriname. [2]

Life and career

Jules Rattankoemar Ajodhia was born in Wanica District on 27 January 1945. [1]

The first term as vice president was from 16 September 1991 to 15 September 1996. [3] The second term started on 12 August 2000 and ended on 12 August 2005. [4]

Ajodhia died at the St. Vincentius Hospital in Paramaribo, on 29 March 2024, at the age of 79. [5]
