The school is about 72.5 percent white, 16.5 percent black, and 8 percent hispanic. All of the students are categorized as economically disadvantaged.[2]
There were a total of 8,837 students enrolled in the Jones County School District during the 2017–2018 school year. The gender makeup of the district was 49% female and 51% male. The racial makeup of the district was 19.3% African American, 64.8% White, 10.4% Hispanic, 1.0% Native American, and 0.6% Asian. 68.5% of the district's students were eligible to receive free lunch.[4]
