Islam is a very minor religion in Bhutan. There are around 5,000–7,000 Muslims in the country.

There are currently no mosques in Bhutan[ citation needed], which makes it the only country, along with Monaco and Slovakia which doesn't have mosque. [1] [2] The current Muslim population of the country, along with other non-Buddhist religion, pray at a small prayer hall built in Jakar.[ citation needed] In 2008, the Bhutan Muslim community built a mosque called the Jaigaon Mosque in Jaigaon, India, just across the Bhutan–India border.
