Industrial Spy: Operation Espionage or I Spy, known in Japan as Espion-Age-nts (エスピオネージェンツ, Esupionējentsu), is a video game developed by
HuneX[2] and published by
NEC Home Electronics and
UFO Interactive Games for
Dreamcast in 1999-2000.
The game received unfavorable reviews according to the
review aggregation website
GameRankings.[3] Jeff Lundrigan of NextGen said in an early review, "Industrial Spy isn't bad, by any means. The graphics are good, and many of the characters are more fleshed out than they first appear. Mostly though, the game makes you look forward to I Spy 2, when hopefully [the developers have] worked out the kinks."[9] (Ironically, there was never a sequel to the game itself.) GamePro said that the game's storyline "could've carried it far, but control problems and incredibly slow gameplay waste the concept."[10][a]
Notes
^GamePro gave the game 4/5 for graphics, 3/5 for sound, 2/5 for control, and 2.5/5 for fun factor.
