Héctor Fernando Marecos Silvera (born 4 January 1979) is a Paraguayan
footballmanager and former player who played as a
goalkeeper. He is the current manager of
Ovetense [
es].
After retiring, Marecos started working as
Edgar Denis' assistant before taking over
Deportivo Capiatá in the later stages of 2013, as an interim.[3] Confirmed as manager for the 2014 season, he led the side to the round of 16 in the
Copa Sudamericana, defeating
Boca Juniors at the
La Bombonera but being knocked out on penalties.
On 11 December 2015, Marecos was named in charge of
Sportivo Luqueño,[7] but was sacked the following 27 April.[8] He was appointed
General Díaz manager on 27 May 2016,[9] but was dismissed on 22 November.[10]
Marecos returned to Luqueño on 20 December 2016,[11] but was again relieved from his duties on 25 February 2017.[12] He returned to Capiatá on 8 April,[13] but was sacked on 9 June.[14]
On 4 October 2017, Marecos was appointed in charge of
Sol de América,[15] being dismissed the following 1 June.[16] On 27 August 2018, he took over
Deportivo Santaní,[17] leaving the following 17 February.[18]
Marecos returned to Capiatá for a third spell on 25 August 2019,[19] being sacked on 26 September.[20] He returned to General Díaz on 11 November 2020,[21] but again
suffered relegation.
