Gug Tappeh ( Persian: گوگ تپه), also Romanized as Gūg Tappeh; also known as Goy Tappeh and Gūy Tappeh, [3] is a village in Baranduzchay-ye Shomali Rural District of the Central District of Urmia County, West Azerbaijan province, Iran.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 1,804 in 482 households. [4] The following census in 2011 counted 2,439 people in 706 households. [5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 2,850 people in 836 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district. [2]
