This picture gives me butterflies everytime I see it. Is it real?

--- Yes it is real as it gets and at that time they did not wear or have safety equipment, many workers fell from extreme heights to their deaths. In this photo you will see a group of empire state building construction workers "hanging on a limb" while enjoying their lunch.
