English: Bahrain (May 10, 2005) - Hull Maintenance Technician 2nd Class Carl Harris inspects the remaining high explosive material from a disrupted improvised explosive device during a training exercise in Bahrain. Members of Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit Four (EODMU-4), Detachment Twelve, are conducting a Final Evaluation Phase of training to simulate operations the team may experience while supporting maritime security operations (MSO). MSO deny international terrorists use of the maritime environment as a venue for attack or to transport personnel, weapons, or other material. Members of EOD Mobile Unit Four Detachment 12 recently conducted a Final Evaluation Phase (FEP) of training to simulate operations the team may experience while supporting maritime security operations (MSO).
Maritime Security Operations (MSO) set the conditions for security and stability in the maritime environment. MSO complement the counter-terrorism and security efforts of regional nations. MSO deny international terrorists use of the maritime environment as a venue for attack or to transport personnel, weapons, or other material.
