DescriptionUSS Saratoga (CV-3) and USS Langley (CVL-27) at Pearl Harbor, circa in January 1944 (80-G-221103).jpg
English: The U.S. Navy aircraft carriers USS Saratoga (CV-3), right, and USS Langley (CVL-27) moored at Pearl Harbor, Territory of Hawaii. Although the photograph was released on 5 April 1944, Saratoga was in the Indian Ocean at that time. After an overhaul in late 1943, Saratoga arrived at Pearl Harbor on 7 January 1944. She left on 19 January for operations in the Western Pacific and the Indian Ocean, returning to Pearl Harbor on 10 June 1944.
The heavy cruiser USS Salt Lake City (CA-25) is visble on the far left, and an unidentified Independence-class carrier is visible between Langley and Saratoga. Both formed Task Group 58.4 with USS Princeton (CVL-23) in January 1944, so the carrier may be Princeton.
