English: U.S. Space Force Lt. Gen. B. Chance Saltzman, Deputy Chief of Space Operations for Operations, Cyber and Nuclear, receives the 2021 General Thomas D. White Space Award during the Air Force Association's Inaugural Space Force Ball at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif., Nov. 19, 2021.The award is given for the most outstanding contribution to the nation's progress in aerospace over the past calendar year. Gen. White was the fourth Chief of Staff of the Air Force (1957-1961) and was a visionary military leader who helped bring the USAF into the space age. (U.S. Space Force photo by Staff Sgt.
