Summary

Description Morro Bay Marina Peninsula, Morro Bay State Park, Morro Bay California. Trentepohlia aurea is a green alga that only grows on the north side of Monterey Cypress. The orange color is caused by the presence of large quantities of carotenoid pigments which mask the green of the chlorophyll.
