Summary

Description
English: FORT INDIANTOWN GAP, Pa. -- Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett and Maj. Gen. Wesley Craig, state adjutant general, cut the ribbon on the Pennsylvania National Guard's new Joint Emergency Operations Center, Jan. 9, 2015. The $1.5 million facility boasts many enhanced capabilities for the Pennsylvania National Guard to efficiently respond, when requested, to natural disaster and civil strife. During state emergencies, the National Guard becomes an asset of the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency, or PEMA. PEMA assigns missions to the National Guard, which will manage those operations at the new facility. (Photo by Tom Cherry/Released)
