For those of you who didn't get the Refuge News, Mandy and I went to Door County, Wi a few weeks ago to help researchers band some 1000 double-crested cormorant chicks. Mandy here was the first to take hold of a sleepy chick. Everything was done at night so that the chicks would be sleeping and less aware of our presence. ~ Intern Karen
