English: Photographed during the 'Charak' and 'Gajan' festival at the village Narna of Howrah, West Bengal. A village fair also took place at the high summer. Charak and Gajan puja are traditional Bengali folk festivals of the Hindus celebrated before the Bengali new year day in the Bengal. Charak puja dedicated strictly to penance, it is unique in the Bengal. Gajan is also celebrated mostly in the Bengal, it is associated with Shiva, Neel and Dharma.
