Summary
| Description |
English: The Singapore Surrender table (teak, 1940s) in the Singapore History Gallery,
National Museum of Singapore. The table was in the boardroom of the
Ford Motor Factory on
Upper Bukit Timah Road, and was used for the signing of the surrender of Singapore by the British to the Japanese during World War II. The table remained in the boardroom during the
Japanese occupation of Singapore and after the war, until it was donated by Ford Malaysia to the
Australian War Memorial in 1964. |
