English: The official city seal of Baltimore, Maryland. The seal was adopted in 1827 and is black and gold in color, containing the emblem of the Battle Monument in the seal's center. Around the monument are inscribed the words, "CITY OF BALTIMORE", and below the monument reads the number, "1797".
