English: Caricature of the sale of the Danish West Indies to the USA, January, 1917, from the Danish satirical magazine "Klods-Hans". U.S. President Woodrow Wilson, dressed as Uncle Sam, seen walking away with three small caricatured black children labeled with the names of the islands. Original caption (translated from Danish): "The rich Mr Wilson (who has adopted the children for a hefty sum once and for all): 'Come on boys, we'll go and buy you some nice clothes and a gold watch with chain.'"
