English: BUILT IN 1831 TO HOUSE SLAVES ON THE GREGG PLANTATION; AKA AS HEWN LOG HOUSES. THEY WERE LARGELY CONSTRUCTED BY SLAVES THEMSELVES. THEY HAVE BEEN MOVED SEVERAL TIMES TO THE PRESENT LOCATION OF THE FRANCIS MARION UNIVERITY GROUNDS
