DescriptionRoyal Bermuda Regiment Regimental Policeman January 1994.jpg
English: Bermuda Regiment (now
Royal Bermuda Regiment)
Regimental Policeman at
Warwick Camp, in the
British Overseas Territory and historic
Imperial fortress of
Bermuda, during Recruit Camp in January, 1994. This was a two week camp held by the regiment's Training Company to introduce new recruits to basic military skills. The company, including the training cadre (or Recruit Training Team) and the recruits, was embodied for the duration of the camp. The recruits would remain in Training Company for the duration of their first year in the regiment, completing their training on weekly drill nights and a monthly weekend camp, following which they would be transferred as a body to one of the two rifle companies (A Company and B Company), or individually to another sub-unit. Although not part of Training Company, members of the single-battalion regiment's Regimental Police were embodied for the duration of the camp to assist the company's training cadre with discipline. This photograph was taken during the inter-platoon drill competition at the end of the two-week camp, to which families of the recruits were invited as spectators.
