Hubble Space Telescope picture of the
barred spiral galaxyNGC 4319 and the
quasar Markarian 205 (Mrk 205). NGC 4319 lies at a distance of roughly 80 million light years away from Earth, while Mrk 205 lies much farther away at a distance of 1 billion light years. Mrk 205 is still relatively close to Earth as many quasars reside at much greater distances.
