Summary

Description	English: This astronaut photograph of Merowe Dam illustrates the current extent of the reservoir, which has been filling behind the dam since the final spill gate was closed in 2008. Dar al-Manasir, Nubia - northern Sudan. Image acquired with a Nikon D2Xs digital camera using a 50 mm lens, and is provided by the ISS Crew Earth Observations experiment and Image Science & Analysis Laboratory, Johnson Space Center.
