Summary

Description

Mangas (Mimbres), Mattocks site, ex-Janss Foundation collection. Published Brody, 1977 SAR book, Fig. 32.

This is another "famous" pot, published at least twice before. Janss Fndtn. is in Thousand Oaks. Presumably the Weisels bought it from Janss, and then donated it to De Young. Great proto-Escher black/white design reversal. Great pot, really.
