Deutsch: Die preußische Expedition nach Ägypten unter Richard Lepsius feiert den Geburtstag König Friedrich Wilhelm IV. auf dem Gipfel der Cheops-Pyramide am 15. Oktober 1842. Teilnehmer von links nach rechts: H. Mühleisen, Missionar; Karl Richard Lepsius; Karl Wilhelm Isenberg, Missionar der Basler Mission; Carl Franke, Gipsformer; Max Weidenbach; Ernst Weidenbach; Georg Gustav Erbkam; James William Wild; Joseph Bonomi; Johann Jacob Frey. Die beiden Missionare Mühleisen und Isenberg begleiteten die Expeditionsmitglieder nur auf diesem Ausflug. Heinrich Abeken und Otto Georgi stießen erst später zur Expedition hinzu.
English: The Prussian expedition to Egypt under Richard Lepsius celebrates King Frederick William IV's birthday at the summit of the Cheops pyramid on the 15th. October 1842. Participants from left to right: H. Mühleisen, missionary; Karl Richard Lepsius; Karl Wilhelm Isenberg, missionary of the Basel mission; Carl Franke, plaster shaper; Max Weidenbach; Ernst Weidenbach; Georg Gustav Erbkam; James William Wild; Joseph Bonomi; Johann Jacob Frey. The two missionaries Mühleisen and Isenberg accompanied the expedition members only on this trip. Heinrich Abeken and Otto Georgi only joined the expedition later.
