Description
English: The 8th Chinjamrye Reconstruction Festival of Joseon dynasty was held at Gangnyeongjeon, Gyeongbokgung (royal palace) located in Seoul, South Korea. Chinjamrye was a big royal court event during Joseon dynasty for queens to encourage silk production to people. Queens relegated the event and represented to raise silkworms along with all well known ladies among royalty and nobility.
한국어: 2007년 11월 17일 토요일 경복궁 강녕전에서 8번째로 거행되는 '조선왕조 친잠례 재현잔치'와 '친참례 사진전'이 열렸다. 친잠례란 조선왕조시대에 비단생산의 장려를 위해, 왕후가 내외명부를 거느리고 양잠을 했던 궁중의례이다.
