Description LOS NEGROS ISLAND, ADMIRALTY ISLANDS. 1944-03-08. RAAF KITTYHAWK AIRCRAFT IN A DISPERSAL BAY BUILT BY THE JAPANESE AT MOMOTE. IN THE BACKGROUND ARE COCONUT PALMS BLASTED BY THE INTENSIVE BOMBING WHICH PRECEEDED THE LANDING ONLY SIX DAYS BEFORE THIS PHOTOGRAPH WAS TAKEN.
