Description The Iyatayet Site, a National Historic Landmark located on the shoreline of Cape Denbigh near the city of Nome in the Nome Census Area of the U.S. state of Alaska. An archaeological site dating back thousands of years, it was designated a National Historic Landmark on 20 January 1961.
