Among the ships visible are four Essex-class aircraft carriers, one being USS Shangri-La (CV-38), an Independence-class light aircraft carrier, the battleship USS Iowa (BB-61), two Baltimore-class heavy cruisers and six Cleveland-class light cruisers.
