Summary

Description
English: Hurricane Katrina inundated Holy Cross School with 5 to 10 feet of water, destroying every building. The school was originally located New Orleans' Lower 9th Ward, but relocated to the Gentilly neighborhood, the site of the former Cabrini Church, Grammar school and Redeemer Seton High School. In total, FEMA has obligated more than $86.6 million to Holy Cross School for emergency and permanent work. Lillie Long/FEMA
