English: The
French Legation, built in 1840-41, is now the French Legation Museum. This building was the home of the chargé d'affaires of France to the Republic of Texas until 1846, when the Republic of Texas ceased to exist. The building was listed in the National Register of Historic Places on November 25, 1969.
