Friederike Brun, geb. Münter 1765 in Gräfentonna bei Gotha. Das Gemälde (46x39 cm)wurde ca.1822 von C.W.Eckersberg gefertigt.
Friederike Brun heirate 1782 den Kaufmann Constantin Brun. Nach Umbau von Gut Sophienholm in Dänemark wurde dies eine bekannte Kulturstätte für Adelige, Kaufleute, Dichter, Komponisten, Wissenschaftler. Auch Prinz Christian (späterer König von Dänemark) und Gemahlin waren 1822 auf Gut Sophienholm, dem Zeitpunkt der Anfertigung des Gemäldes.
