Description
English: Two U.S. Navy North American FJ-4B Fury aircraft from Attack Squadron 214 (VA-214) "Volunteers" in flight over Naval Air Station Barbers Point, Hawaii (USA), on 26 January 1958. VA-214 was assigned to Air Task Group 4 (ATG-4) aboard the aircraft carrier USS Hornet (CVA-12) for a deployment to the Western Pacific from 6 January to 2 July 1958. The aircraft in front is the personal aircraft of the ATG-4 Air Group Commander (CAG).
VA-214 was in existence for only a little more than three years, being established on 30 March 1955 (as VF-214) and disestablished on 1 August 1958.
