Description
English: A French Dassault Rafale M aircraft from the French Marine Nationale aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle (R91) refuels from a U.S. Navy Boeing F/A-18E Super Hornet from Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 81 "Sunliners" from the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) over the Arabian Sea. VFA-81 was assigned to Carrier Air Wing 17 (CVW-17) aboard the Carl Vinson, supporting maritime security operations, strike operations in Iraq and Syria as directed, and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
