Summary

Description A U.S. Marine Corps McDonnell F-4J-35-MC Phantom II (BuNo 155821) from Marine Fighter Attack Squadron VMFA-451 "Warlords" at Naval Air Station Miramar, California (USA), on 13 November 1976. VMFA-451 was assigned to Carrier Air Wing 17 aboard the aircraft carrier USS Forrestal (CV-59) for a deployment to the Mediterranean Sea, but the cruise was canceled. Note the U.S. Bicentennial markings on the F-4, the "TOP GUN" inscription, and the "kill" markings for North Vietnamese aircraft shot down during the Vietnam War painted on the hangar in the back.
