Description
English: Photograph of the exterior view of the Los Angeles and San Pedro Station, the first railroad into Los Angeles, ca.1880. A locomotive hauling its tender, four empty cars, a covered car and a caboose is stopped in front of the railroad station. A man is standing on the walkway at the rear of the train's caboose. Another man stands on the ground at the rear of the train. People are standing around at the side of the station to wait for their train. To the right of the train station is a small grocery store. Legible signs include: "L.A. & S.P.R.R.", "grocery & ba[...]".
